Are the professionals on the map actually available?
Yes! The “Green” pins represent pros who have manually toggled their status to “Available.” This means they are ready to respond to your request immediately.
How do I know the professional is qualified?
Safety and quality are our priorities. Every professional on Fix-Now undergoes a vetting process that includes identity verification and a review of their professional business licenses. You can also view their “Verified” badges and read real-time reviews from other neighbors.
How much does it cost to use the app?
Fix-Now is free for customers to download and browse. You only pay for the services you receive. While many pros offer flat-rate pricing for common tasks, you can discuss specific costs directly with them via our secure in-app chat. Additionally you can purchase a monthly or annual subscription in order to get additional features
How do I pay for the service?
To keep things simple and avoid extra fees, you pay the professionaldirectly once the job is completed. You can use cash, check, or any mobile payment app (like Venmo or Zelle) that the professional accepts.
For Professionals
How do I get more visibility on the map?
While the map naturally highlights pros closest to the customer, we offer aPro Subscription. This allows you to appear in searches even when you aren’t physically located in that specific neighborhood, helping you “claim” more territory and attract more business.
Do I have to pay for leads?
No. Unlike competitors who charge you every time a customer clicks your name, Fix-Now focuses on direct connections. You manage your own availability, and when a customer needs you, they “Request” you directly. You can purchase a monthly or annual subscription in order to get additional features.
How do I manage my availability?
You have total control. Within the Pro Dashboard, you can toggle your status betweenAvailable, On a Job, or Offline. When you’re offline, your pin disappears from the map so you won’t be disturbed.
What happens if there is a dispute with a customer?
Fix-Now provides a platform for connection and transparency through ratings and reviews. However, as the app does not process payments, any disputes regarding the work or payment must be resolved directly between you and the customer.

What if I have an emergency?
For paid subscribers, we offer anEmergency Button. This sends a high-priority alert to all available professionals in your immediate area to ensure the fastest possible response for things like burst pipes or electrical failures.
Can I track my professional’s arrival?
Yes. Once a professional accepts your request and is en route, you can track their location in real-time on the map—just like a ride-sharing app.
Does Fix-Now share my phone number?
Not unless you want us to. Our secure in-app chat allows you to discuss job details, send photos, and confirm pricing without ever exchanging personal contact information.
